Create A Spring Coffee Table….using what you have

So let’s talk about how to create a Spring coffee table using what you have. Since this month’s challenge is close to Easter and officially marks the start of Spring, I went for a very simple ‘Springiness’ look with a bit of Easter for the coffee table in the living room. And although we don’t sit in this room as much as others… it is the first place your eyes might land when they walk through my front door.

Shop your home

When I tell you after a walk into the kitchen for a bunch of apples, the dining room hutch for the white platter and bowl, carnations from the kitchen mantel here, in the pantry for the two pink candles, in the storage room for the greenery and in my Easter stash for the cute wooden bunny….it was all of 4 mins and 3 seconds and using what I already had to create my Spring coffee table.

I love the combo of the pink and green, it screams spring…and delicious applies. Side note, we eat a ton of apples around this house, including the horses, and this year I am planning to grow my own apple trees. Kinda excited, as it is another step to being self sustaining. More about my plans on how to accomplish that, down the road.

Mix Faux and real flowers

The arrangement is a combination of real and faux. Do you ever mix the two? If not, you should. I took two faux green plants put them in the white bowl, and took the carnations and inserted them randomly. Tada. A spring arrangement that would fool the likes of any flower connoisseur.

  1. I love this so much! The colors are perfect for Spring. And apple trees? How fun! My husband's grandmother had the best apples (apple trees) we've ever tasted! But they are long gone now. ๐Ÿ™ That will be fabulous!
And thanks for the tip on mixing real and faux flowers…what a great idea !!

  2. Great ideas, Laura! I LOVE that bunny! I have a few and they multiply every year. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I wish I had your restraint…I guess I did when my kids were younger and I couldn't have a ton of stuff on every table. Still…even now, It's hard to make space for company, every area of my home is filled with my spring treasures! Sob…I know, the worst problem ever! I need to learn to edit.

So…I love your light touch, the colors and freshness. I need to go do some subtraction. It's been all about multiplying lately!!!
