And so ….the Industrial Vintage hardware spinner arrived. And instead of the typical way I would have used this piece, I decided to create a spinning succulent centerpiece.

I imagine, I could have used this Industrial Vintage Hardware Spinner for a lot of things around the house, but something was telling me succulents would be perfect. Actually it was my husbands idea to plant something in it. He said herbs, I said succulents. Well….you  know who won that one! Although a herb planter would have been another great idea, I think he secretly wants to take over the blog.

But I really like how the variety of succulents are tucked in with some Spanish moss in each of the compartments.  Note- I did layer a few small pebbles on the bottom before putting the plants in. I imagine you could put drainage holes in it, if it was going to be used as a long term planter.

The tiered tray is on the kitchen table and I am using it as a daily centerpiece. I love the height, the finish of it ,and that it spins. Although, I am thinking that once my kids find out it spins, I will probably have succulents flying across the room. For now, we will just keep that a secret.

  1. I love, love, love Décor Steals, I order from them all the time. I would love to have this spinner in fact I would love to have two, one for my craft room and one for my rustic dinning table on the covered patio I would plant that one with a mix of small succulents and small sedums.
