Good Ole Family Fun in Tennessee 
 
Wanted to pop in and quickly tell you all, how much I am missing you this summer. I made this decision to lay low and have fun with the kids during the break….and I have and I will for one more week (sigh, kids go back next Friday). At the same time I have missed my projects, writing posts, reading your comments and the pure joy that I receive from blogging. So thank you for that.
 
Good Ole Family Fun in Tennessee
 

This past week we took one last family trip for the summer to Dollywood and to Gatlinburg in Tennessee.  Even with the extreme heat and rain showers, we had an amazing time. 

I will share some trip highlights and some trip advice in the upcoming weeks.
 
I will be heading to Sherwin Williams today to pick up more paint samples so I can slap a few more colors on the house this weekend, and have a decision by the time the painters show up next week. Real exciting…I know.
 
I sure hope you are doing something far more fun and exciting with your weekend….you better be!

  2. Great idea to kinda take the summer off and be with your family!!! If mine were little I would want to do the same. We took our family to the Outer Banks for a week and had a blast too! First annual family vacation. Already have another house booked for next year!!!

  6. Your kids go back to school earlier than ours. I can't believe they go back in July!!! My mom and I were just talking about how some schools go back so early. When we were kids, we didn't go back until after labor day! I still think of August as summer break to me. Mine go back Aug 6 which is way too early too. Oh well, what are you going to do?! Glad that you're having a good time with your family during the summer break. I've never been to Dollywood before. Looks fun!
