5 ways to get your house ready for the 4th of July

In less then 72 hours we will be celebrating our nations Independence and if you are hosting the celebration at your home this year, that means you now have 71.5 hours to get the place all festive and patriotic looking. Not to worry, I put together 5 ways to get your house ready for the 4th of July. These are simple, easy to do ideas that you can do before the crowd arrives and fireworks start.

Pick up  some red, white and blue flowers and rather then putting them all together, separate them by color and place around the house in mini vases. For an added touch use food coloring to turn the water blue and red.

Pick up some flags at the store, I got these at the Dollar Store and take the sticks out and use as a banner or bunting on your mantel, window or wall. Secure the flags with tape for easy removal. This was a previous years mantel. To see more click here.

Go through your stash and use a burlap and red stripe piece of fabric as a table runner. This was actually something that I bought to use at Christmas time.

Put some flags in picture frames and place them around the house for instant patriotic decor.

Use the left over flags with sticks in place, and put them in your floral arrangements, food table, or other centerpiece. Doesn’t get any easier then this, does it?
