Collect Moments…not things

I am sticking to my goal of what I set out to do this summer….

Collect Moments...not things

a tender moment that I tool of my Lily on the beach

I have a few more days before I send the kids back to school on Friday (sniff sniff), and I am going to enjoy every single second that I can with them until then.

I can’t wait to catch up with you next week!

  1. I love this photo!!….Yes, memories are the best!…..Can’t believe the kids are going back to school already, but then again they got our earlier than the kids here….Enjoy the rest of your vacay and making more memories!!!

  2. I always felt that way when my kids went back to school. The house was SO quiet! It takes awhile to get back into high gear.

Love your post title. Lily is precious.

  3. I’d give anything to go back to the last summer days of school shopping, the clothes, supplies, shoes (oh, the shoe stores were the worst for some reason). Labeling all of their supplies and putting them just right in their pencil cases and backpacks. And of course, especially for my daughter, picking out that first day of school outfit. At the time I took it all for granted and dreaded the whole process every year. I worked at the school my kids attended as the bookkeeper, so we all had to prepare for the end of the summer. While they got excited, I would get the “end of summer blues”, lol.
And now…they’re grown, moved out with lives of their own. I no longer work due to health issues that required me to go on disability retirement at a very young age, so my life is drastically different now. And lonely. My house is always quite except when the kids come over and then it’s very loud, lol. We all have a tendency to talk at the same time, haha!
Cherish these last days of summer, make as many memories as you possibly can and….don’t blink
