Two Peas in a pod and a table makeover

Ahhh… it’s great to be back. After a week away on my staycation, did you miss me as much as I missed you? Hope so.

Hey, did I ever mention to you that I am twin? Yup. There are two of us. We are 4 mins apart and are tighter then a pair of skinny jeans. Two peas in a pod. We tend to finish each other’s sentences, have the same style in clothes and love our manicures and pedicures. We love the same perfume, same music and share similar decor.
There is just one small little difference however that set’s us apart.
Ready to hear what it is?

See I am a picker, the ultimate repurposer and DIY’ every time type of gal. She on the other hand is totally not. Don’t get me wrong she completely supports my habits, especially if it’s something for her. Like a “kick it to the curb” table that I found. Who does that??
Anyhow, I thought it would be perfect in my sisters den and reluctantly at first…..so did she.
First thing was to dust it off and put an off white base on this otherwise old but in great condition table.

Then it came decision time. Color. Something else that sets me and my twin apart is I can come to a color decision fairly quickly, she on the other hand ….not so quickly. After a couple of hours and what would have taken me a few nano seconds, we decided on pulling some more green into the room and using an existing pillow as our color match.

A couple of coats of paint followed by some light distressing and a protective coat on the top and it’s such an amazing piece in the room. We both agree. See that clock in the background in the above picture, click here to see how I painted that.

See, we also think great minds think alike. We are twins after all.
I will be back later this week to share some other updates that I did to this “home way from home” space of mine her’s.

Grateful for~
Love and peace among us…it’s out there, we just have to find it.
