I did this project for my fall decor , but these easy burlap candle rings would work for any season. Just switch out the candles.

This project wasn’t planned, it kinda happened by accident. See, it all started when I ordered too much burlap and needed to find something to do with it. So I took the idea of the burlap wreath and made a mini version. The rings also fit perfectly around my candles.

Instructions for Easy Burlap Candle Rings

And just started doing this, around these cute little wire wreath forms that I picked up at the craft store. I also found some here. The steps are pretty simple, just weave your burlap in and out of the wreath form until you have gone around the entire circle. The more burlap you use, the fuller your candle ring will be.

When I was done, weaving in and out around the rings, I cut off any stray little strings around the edges, stuck some candles in the center and called it a day. These little candle rings would make a great centerpiece and I love how the burlap adds some nice texture.

  1. I absolutely LOVE this. If I won, I'd want mine plain, please. That wreath could be the most "go-to" decorating piece for me! Let's see: primitive Santas for Christmas, miniature ears of corn for autumn, black and orange details for our local high school colors, etc.

Thanx for the opportunity to win this great piece. Just found your blog this morning. I may not get any claning or cooking done today!

  2. Just came over from your house tour at Rhoda's! Your home is stunning! Yet, still cozy and inviting! …And I love your candle rings! I say go big or go home, so no, I don't think it's an overload of burlap at all! Just pretty, that's all! 🙂

    Gorgeous wreath, too!

  10. Laura, hi! Thanks for the awesome giveaway before the holidays. I have been admiring your burlap wreath through the past seasons. Winning would be the perfect kickoff to my holiday decorating!

  11. I think that I have found a kindred spirit who has a passion for this "thing" called burlap. What some see as an ugly duckling, I see as a beautiful swan. Thanks for your inspiration! Bethmdill@gmail.com

  12. I liked you in Facebook, though I won't enter the giveaway.

But there's something "wrong" (for me at least) in "liking" your page through the Facebook Badge you have here in your homepage.

It wouldn't add to the count and returned a "confirm" message that lead nowhere. No problem as clicking in the "f" button above worked (took advantage and clicked the Pinterest ;)) but you might want to check that connection.

Enjoy your weekend! I'm fearless and throwing myself on the burlap pit (really happy that I chose this theme for Christmas, thanks to you)

  13. I like simple too! LOVE burlap! Have accents of it throughout my home! Curtains in the living room bedspread in the bedroom and a tree skirt that unfortunately I don't get to use this year. Long story. Please include me in the drawing!!

  14. I hope I win! I work in IT and it really doesn't seem very secure for all of these people to be listing their email addresses where everyone else can see them.

  15. Does anyone know what site I can purchase these super small wreath frames as shown in the candle ring tutorial? I can’t seem to find them or he size anywhere?
