Fall Porch Tour 2013

Welcome to the 2013 Fall Front Porch Tour. I am so happy that you stopped by
Top This Top That.
It’s no secret how much I love the Fall season,
the outdoors, nature and……..
my front porch.

This porch ushers in more then just the beautiful colors of the season.

It’s a place of comfort
  A place of celebration
 A place of calm

A place of reflection, a place where I dream.
A place to think.

A place to witness family time, playtime, the occasional date night and…..
life in the country
It’s a place where we welcome you. A place where we invite you in. A place where we hope you will want to stay.

to visit, laugh and……
 talk

Talk about….how pretty the mums are, how acorns really aren’t that big in the country because you bought them that way or how everything looks so “fall festive” with a coat of Pumpkin colored spray paint on it.

Or……. how this wasn’t the best year for corn in the garden because we had too much rain and the critters got whatever little cobs that we did grow….but we do have an abundance of husks to use in our fall decor.

The front porch……A place that you will love.

A place that was meant just to do that.

Happy Fall!

  1. You know I have porch envy whenever I see yours! My hubs and I just might have to have a date night out there … hope you don't mind! Love the Halloween version, with the birds looming in the stalks!

  2. Laura your front porch is amazing at any time of the year but it truly looks gorgeous all dressed up for Fall!! I love all the special details especially the corn husks tied around your columns!

  3. Amazing spot! For all you mention and so much more…
I love porches. Unfortunetly it's not a big tradition in my Country… but I'm making one space that will ne porch like without being attached to our home… and enjoy all those sensations suggested in your post above.
Thank you for sharing and inspiring,
    T

  4. Laura – I would love to sit on that porch with you and figure out all of the problems with the world and drink coffee until the cows came home – or at least your little donkey. 🙂 I was so looking forward to your porch tour because when I think of a porch, I think of YOURS. It is classy yet welcoming and imbibes everything a porch should be. I can see where it is your happy place. Thanks for letting your porch come out and play with my porch. 🙂 xxoo, Barb

  5. Laura,
Your porch is wonderful and welcoming. I always love posts on your home as I am truly in love with the architecture and I am enthralled with all the tiny things each time I visit.

  6. Your porch is so pretty and so very inviting. I can imagine friends sitting down in one of those comfy chairs and not wanting to leave.

  7. Laura, Your Autumn porch decorations are absolutely gorgeous. I can tell you LOVE Fall and you have done ea perfect job of dressing your porch for the season. Love it- It is magazine worthy! xo Diana

  8. I LOVE the paisley fabric in those browns. I have a couch with that same pattern only in teals (yeah it's 20 years old). I thought I would never want to see that print again, but I guess it's just cuz mine is the wrong color.

  9. Hi Laura,
I agree. This was a bad year for corn but a good year for stalks! There is nothing that I'd like to do better than to sit on your porch and dream and talk about how pretty everything looks! Which it does because you do porches so well!
