Christmas Home Tour 2014

Surprise! It’s me….and my donkey Oreo.

Duke Manor Farm is stop 22 on Jennifer Rizzo’s  2014 Holiday House walk.

Christmas Home Tour 2014

I know you came here looking for a home tour, but instead you are greeted by the most festive looking donkey you will ever see! Oreo and I are both so happy that you are here for the tour.  If you are stopping by from the DIY Showoff, I think you can agree that Roeshel is the sweetest DIY’er  ever, and it’s always a treat to visit her beautiful home!

If you are new to Duke Manor Farm, I am Laura. A city girl turned country gal. I live on a dirt road in a small town (population 501) in North East Georgia on a farm that my husband and I built 12 years ago. Along with the donkeys, dogs, chickens and cats that we picked up along the way, we have 3 kids. Needless to say, life around here is very active, fun and full of life.

So come on in and enjoy my Christmas Home Tour 2014.

our family room which is next to the breakfast room is currently undergoing a huge makeover, so I had to be creative on the shots in this room….like trying to hide a big sheet of plastic in the door way behind the chair

the small trees and garland that you see in some of the rooms are new this year from Balsam Hill. All other decorations and things that I used throughout the tour, I have had and accumulated

  10. I'd be happy to spend the holidays in your home – so great. I'm collecting rustic, star ornaments for my tree. Do you remember where you found the stars on your tree?

  11. Well since I left a comment about Oreo on Ms. Thistle's blog, I won't leave one here. I will just say your house and your donkey are both wonderful.

  12. Your home tour is simply stunning Laura! I've scheduled over 6 pins because I just love it so much, the color combinations, and the simple decor. Beautiful!

  13. Loved your home tour–and being greeted by Oreo. There is a home north of us which has lots of donkeys. We always look for them as we pass as they are not always near the fence by the road. I often think of you and your Oreo and the chicken who likes a free ride.
I too have decorated my home – take a look some time.

  14. A practical romantic (oxymoron!) lives here! I enjoyed the tour….Love the rockinghorse – and the snowmen (and women?) collection! (I just got a Channukah card with a snowman holding a channukiah – interesting!) I have an angel collection (130 and counting…so I have an all angel tree… thinking to donate it for auction to charity when I hit 250 (I'm a bit picky about the angels. Not too big – beautiful, cute and original – but not too kitchy..well it's all in the mind. Curious to know what the rest of the inspiration board in the bedroom says…."I hope you fe…."
    Merry Christmas and Happy 2015.
