Customized Lamps
Today I wanted to tell you about something that’s happened in my bedroom after 12 years.
Oh come on….nothing like that. Top This Top That is after all, a blog appropriate for the whole family.
I got new lamps. Aren’t they pretty. Yup, after 12 years with the same lamps, with a few spray paint jobs and shade changes in between…..it was time.
I am like a giddy school girl who just got asked to the 8th grade dance by the cutest boy in the class. Except this time, I am not in 8th grade and it’s not a boy….it’s my new lamps from LampsPlus.com. And they are not just any lamps, they are totally customized by yours truly.

See I was talking to this friend one day on the phone who wouldn’t stop talking about how amazing her lamps were. She went on to say that you can totally customize the base, select the lamp shade from a wide variety of patterns and styles and choose your trim colors with LampsPlus.
She was so right. Amazing….and easy to customize the perfect lamp.
So now, next time you and I talk on the phone……. be prepared…..you already know what we are going to talk about, unless you order your new customized lamp before then and we can be giddy together.

I have them liked in Facebook and that's the only reason I couldn't get giddy over the phone with you about them – I'm drooling all the time. They have awesome stuff. Going to search their site – again (one day they'll block my IP ahahah) because soon I want new apliques (not sure that's the name you give it) for my bedroom new stone wall.

Love your new lamp! I love the lamp in our bedroom – it was my grandma's and I love it. The floor lamp though is a different story. I like the base but it needs a new shade. I'm looking around!

Love those soft colors and I think customized lamps shades are an often overlooked design detail. Etsy offers lots of choices that are so fun.
This is so funny, Laura. For the last two days I have been thinking about the lights in my bedroom and that I really should update them. One MUST is that they have to have 3 way switches for reading…but I have been casting nasty glances at the ones I have every time I am in the bedroom. Their days are numbered! I LOVE yours! xo Diana
