Create Perfectly Flocked Pinecones
I must admit, I do like the glistening white snow in the winter time, especially freshly fallen, no prints and before the dogs….. well, you know. I like it even more when it’s in my holiday decor and the temps outside are still above freezing. A bit on the wreath, evidence on the garland and now…….the pine cones.
You see, I may have revolutionized the way you can flock pine cones and do it easily. This method is so simple, that even the flock lords don’t know what to do. But I am sure after today, they will. Especially when people are flocking ( no pun intended) in droves to the nearest home improvement store to pick up………Wall texture in a can.
Supplies needed to create the perfectly flocked pinecone

A handful of pine cones from the yard or you can find them here
Wall texture in a can. you can find this at most home improvement stores in the paint section or here
Wax paper or aluminum foil or anything that you can place your pine cones on as you spray and they dry
Create Perfectly Flocked Pine cones
Step 1
Place pine cones on top of a piece of wax paper or aluminum foil.
Step 2
Spray your pine cones based on the desired coverage. Let dry
Step 3
Place in a shallow bowl filled with other pine cones and silver ornaments for this look or whatever works in your holiday decor.
So if you are sitting there thinking “I already knew this” and you have cans of wall texture already in your holiday bins, just please let me think that I thought it first and I am just fashionably late….ok?

I love the look of flocked pinecones and even wreaths. Your tip is a good way to get that look. I've never used that method before. I've used just plain canned snow that you can buy at Walmart and sprayed it on mine to get that look too.
Is the canned texture more permanent than canned snow? I've been in a flocking mood too. I want to be able to shake it off some things and leave it on others. Everything you do is so pretty and I often borrow your ideas. Thank you for another one.
Wow…how clever…I used the "snow paste" from Michaels…this is definitely a better product to use!
