Life Lately on the Farm

Big Catch …and committment

Between the early mornings, cold fingers, and big smiles, this is always one of those proud-mom moments that never gets old. It looks like Jacob will be hitting the books and the lake as he continues fishing in college. He committed earlier this week to a college right up the road and we are so proud…and excited for him.

Even though he’s not smiling….son was happy in this picture. Thank goodness for the $5K investment in the braces!

Weiner-Whirlwind Fun

And because my oldest son doesn’t do “ordinary,” he and his friends somehow ended up in front of the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile… dressed as food.

It was ridiculous in the best way, and honestly, I think everyone should experience a giant hotdog vehicle at least once. PS- contrary to what I always thought…they were not passing out hotdogs. He did though get a whistle shaped like a hot dog.:)

Home Project

I just wrapped up a DMF project for a client and I loved the green she choose for her kitchen cabinets so much….I used it in our guest bath. I was craving a bit of color. It’s been about 5 years since I did anything to this bathroom (refresh is here) when I painted the vanity Web Gray. The new color is called Herb Cornucopia-Behr. Isn’t it fun?

Holiday Sparkle Has Made Its Way

I have finished up my Christmas décor.. My navy-and-silver tree in the Piano room is officially glowing, and it might be one of my favorite looks yet. It all brings me extra joy especially since I did not buy one new thing for the decorating bins this year. I’ll be sharing all the touches of holiday magic from around Duke Manor Farm soon.

Check out last years Holiday Home here.

Fall’s Last Hurrah

Even though Christmas is creeping in, fall is still showing off outside.
The leaves have turned the entire property into a patchwork of reds, golds, and deep purples — the kind of view that almost makes you forget how many of leaves you’re about to blow away.

That’s a wrap

Thanks for hanging out with me this weekend. Whether you’re shopping the deals, decorating a tree, or chasing a giant hotdog vehicle across town, I hope your weekend brings a little joy and a lot of laughter.
