Best Room Makeovers of 2015 at Duke Manor Farm

Happy 2016! Are you ready for an amazing New Year…I know I am. I have the projects lined up, the honey do list is filling up and I am ready to dive right in,  but before I do that, I wanted to highlight some of my best room makeovers of 2015 at Duke Manor Farm. The one’s that make me kinda giddy….still.

My office . Although I am still madly crazy about the wallpaper ( take that dear hubby), my office will see a few changes this year. Particularly a new desk, credenza and curtains. My hubby’s bachelor dresser no longer fits my vision for my space and I am ready for something different. More modern and chic.

Laundry Room here.  The only thing that has changed since I showed you this space, is the increase of dirty socks. Why must my children go outside without shoes on?  Love the room….hate the laundry. Enough said.

Guest Bath here. I am so happy that I took this room from a red cave, to a brighter space, to complement the back and white tile that we installed when we built the house 14 years ago.

Guest Room here. Trust me when I tell you a little paint in a space, goes a long way.  Throw in a new duvet cover, and the guests will never leave. This I know. Currently taking reservations for winter 2017.

Den here. This space won the award for the most changes a room can have in a house. I chalk the changes up to kids, changing style and finally saying no to the hand me downs from other rooms. By the way, love that IKEA sectional. It looks amazing and it is holding up great with the kids. In fact, they have sleepovers on it every weekend. #wishitcouldlastforever

Painting the exterior of the house late summer here. Without a doubt, painting the house this year was not only the most expensive makeover we did, but the one that created most impact. I never agonized over colors as much as I did for this project. Love, love, love ….but poor, poor, poor.

I will be sharing the 2016 project list, the projects that never got done and the projects I never got around to share on the blog in the upcoming month.

  1. Y’all did pump out the projects last year. I’m going to bring my laundry and do it in your laundry room and stay over in the guest room. 🙂

  2. All amazing spaces, Laura! You were a busy, busy girl!!! My favorite has to be your office! I am in love with the wallpaper – and the entire space! Looking forward to seeing more changes there this year!

  3. I love all your work but am partial to CUTE Laundry rooms. That makes laundry dry happy 😉
