5 Fall Mantel Style Ideas

When I think about how I want my mantel to look for the season, I usually start with 1 item or theme and build around that. Since my style airs on the side of simple and uncomplicated, I like to use five or less items when decorating the mantel. Today I wanted to share 5  fall mantel style ideas that I have used at Duke Manor Farm.

I used some simple styling here. I used a few pumpkins and some coordinating fall art that I framed. Don’t be afraid to bring in other colors as well as orange.  In addition to traditional orange, rich jewel tones are also perfect for the fall season.

I used my easy Fall Canvas that I made here  as the focal point. I flanked it with some wheat grass bundles and leaves. Create your own fall saying on a piece of canvas with a gold sharpie. It’s a wonderful reminder throughout the season.

Simplicity at it’s best. I filled some white pitchers with wheat grass. I then placed 3 small tiger pumpkins so that it would not look so overwhelming or cluttered.  In addition to wheat grass, simple tree cuttings from the yard would work as well. You can see more here.

My no fuss Fall Mantel here. I used 1 pumpkin, a mirror, some framed art and blue jugs with dried florals. I layered the mirror in for some added interest. The use of the pumpkin ties in the orange in the florals and stems in the artwork. I used a one small pumpkin because anything bigger on the mantel would have look too cluttered.

I used my traditional Grateful leaves that I shared here as garland. I filled vases in different sizes with autumn colored flowers and my ‘Be Grateful’ sign was hung in the center.

  1. Love the glass mixed with Fall leaves…simple and make a statement. I like to make a corn swag to hang across the mantle…a Martha Stewart idea…not mine…but I love the look. 🙂

  2. Love that first one. I don’t like orange (ha and I live in the land of the vols – TN). I will use orange pumpkins outside but I love the pretty blue and green shades and the white ones.
Someone’s gonna have to kick me into gear though – we’re 90ish today and I DO NOT feel like Fall at all. AND I’m not giving up my sandals!!!
