Santa We are Ready…Outdoor Lights

Suffice to say, I think Santa will find our house this year, out here in the country, in the middle of nowhere, thanks to the bright LED glow that surrounds the house and along the driveway.

It seems like the arches that we typically do, were presenting some issues to the Fed Ex man, my kids the dogs and the wind. PVC pipes loaded with lights can get a bit wonky with a gust. Here’s the lights from last year.

If dogs and wind are not an issue for you, here’s the details on how you can create lighted arches.
This year we lined the driveway with some lights secured with rebar and wire. Simple, but still a lot of work. Still working on hubby to throw some lights on the gables…maybe next year.

And if I can get the dogs, kids and Fed Ex man to jump over them instead of through them, they may last until New Years….or at least until Santa and his sleigh get here.
Here’s a coule of pics of lights in the backyard.

Speaking of Santa….. no house in the country would be complete without a small collection of blow-ups waving around in the wind and somewhat deflated because the kids use them as bouncies.

But at least this Santa is still smiling.

Merry Christmas!

  1. Your house is definitely going to get noticed for Santa to find it! I like all the lights. I bet it looks great in person too with it being the only thing lit up within sight.
