Monday Musings….Beautiful Pool Area, Welcome Home Party, Blooming Flowers

Ever have those totally random moments when you do something on a whim and for a split second say ‘What the Heck’? That would be me last week when I decided to stay in Florida the entire week. I was suppose to come home Tuesday morning, but just wanted to have a bit more time to love on my mom, sisters and the rest of my family. Besides when your view looks like this…..

and this, it’s not that difficult to make that call home, to let hubby know. sorry babe, but do you blame me? Isn’t that Lantana Bush around my sisters beautiful pool area just beautiful? I typically plant lantana as a ground cover but have never seen it grown as a bush. You?

Speaking of hubby, not only did he hold the fort down, do his first load of laundry in 10 years and try to put Lily’s hair in a dance bun but he also hooked me up with a first class ticket on the way home. And if that wasn’t awesome enough, he also arranged the sweetest little homecoming surprise party for me. I walked in, the kids popped out from their hiding areas with balloons, cake and this banner on the mantel.  Now  I am thinking, that perhaps mama should go away more often.

My Rhododendrum Bush in the garden is going gangbusters, so I am cutting away and adorning the house with beautiful pink blooms. This bush has been so loyal to me and my garden for years now. A few years back I did this arrangement for a mothers day gift.

I am also enjoying some Orchid love in the living room these days. It’s like Christmas morning to me when these things start blooming each year.

God placed this puppy in our lives at such a perfect time.

I promise next time I stay a few extra days in florida, I will take you with me.
I hope you have an amazing week and….. get to do something on a whim.
