Something is buzzing around here
Have you heard all the buzz lately……
First the buzzing around the property.
You never know what you’ll find around here out in the country. We have our share of just about anything however, I was a little taken back when I spotted this nest under the deck.
Yikes. I never seen something so large like that….and full of hornets. We kept on hearing the buzzing sound and then I finally looked under the deck to see the biggest hornets nest I have ever seen. Did you know that hornets buzz just like bees? Since it’s best to wait till after dark to spray the nest, you should have seen us out there with our flashlights, running like you know what after we sprayed it. It could have been a scene from the craziest reality show ever!
Some other buzz going around, is a super cool app called bhome. Have you heard of it?
And unlike the hornets you need no spray……. just an iphone or ipad. (android users it’s coming, hang tight) The app is free and will give you access to some of your favorite home and garden bloggers and magazines……. Yours truly included.
The app was developed by Kelly from My Soulful Home and her husband. I am so excited to be apart of a community of some of my favorite bloggers and find it so convenient to be able to check out their blog posts, what they are pinning on pinterest, instagram feeds and even chat and message the bhome community. You can add me and other blogs and magazines you enjoy to your feed just by tapping the icons. Sharing stuff on the app is easy as well, but just in case here is a video to demonstrate how it works.

OMG! Hope those hornets are all gone now. It they are , you could save that nest. I have one that I've used to decorate with before! It sort of creeps my youngest son out though.
YIKES!! We had a nest in our storage room years ago and they ate right through the sheetrock!

That is one big nest and we had one on the eve of the sun room a few years ago. So glad to be part of bHome with you.

Oh- I do NOT like hornets- OR wasps. I can handle bumblebees and honey bees-they only sting when provoked but those other two sting just for the fun of it. UGH! xo Diana
