Happy Weekend. With Labor Day and the long weekend upon us it’s a good time for some chilling out and some great labor day deals you don’t want to miss! Some items are notorious for Labor Day sales. Others not so much….resist the urge to buy and wait on those things.

Patio furniture and outdoor decor. Since summer is wrapping up, so is the need for outdoor furniture and such. You can find prices significantly reduced on outdoor furniture, cushions and decor. Now is the time to shop for that patio set that you had your eye on all season. I always like to get new cushions and pillows and stock up for next season.

Mattresses. In addition to a new rug and headboard for the bedroom, we need a new mattress desperately. We have been sleeping on ours for…well longer then 8.  Who in the world came up with that magical number anyways? We all know it takes a good ten years or longer to really break it in. But hubby is waking with that constant backache so we need to do something. I went by a mattress store the other day to look at the adjustable mattresses ( I sleep with a snorer). The sales guy said Labor Day weekend was one of the best times to get mattresses on sale. I will take him at his word.
With next years models getting ready to be released during September and October, some other great deals to look for are on appliances, cars and computers. Speaking of appliances, our refrigerator went out a couple of months ago. We bought a temporary white one ( that we will use elsewhere when time comes) until I decide what I want to get ….. stainless vs something else. Our appliances are black.

No i haven’t. other then ordering our replacement from lowes on line I haven’t been appliance shopping in 15 years! I will have to check them out though. happy weekend!
We ordered our mattress sight unseen from Charles P Rodgers in NYC. It was delivered to our NH lake house and it it one of the best mattresses we have ever had. They are quite famous and highly rated…and friends recommended them. We have no connection with them. I think we ordered the St Regis model

That’s good to know. I think a lot of companies now a days offer a 30 day return so more people are willing to order without trying it out. I will have to look at this company and see if they have what I am looking for. happy weekend!
While recuperating from my hand surgery…I went to my hubby’s tournament and watched him win 2 National Championships!…then we bought a car! 🙂 Hope you had a fun and restful weekend!
