Festive Winter Porch using red, green and gray

Festive Winter Porch using red, green and gray

As we round the corner to Christmas I wanted to share a space that I didn’t include in my holiday home tour here or here before it’s to late ….and I took pictures for nothing. Well not really but you know what I mean. I actually could have waited till after the holidays to share  my festive winter porch, since it will basically look this way through the winter season with a pillow swap or two.

We just love this spot in the house because it’s outdoors with indoor comfort features ( we hung the tv at the end of summer ) The problem is lately it’s been a bit chilly to thoroughly enjoy it. Since it’s the way to the backyard and hot tub area, I still like it to look like a fun spot to sit…..when it  does gets warmer although now it’s just a fun spot to look at.

Creating my festive winter porch was effortless since I really didn’t have a plan and used everything that I already had….I love when that happens. The only real effort was swapping out the rug ( which you have seen here )  and making some hot cocoa without spilling.

As you know (or may not know) after living in our home for 15 years, we finally transformed this area into a real porch and just love sitting in this space…..when it’s not 30 degrees out and the hot cocoa is all gone.  You can see the build and reveal here and  last year on the porch  here
