Snow Surprise of 2020

Snow surprise of 2020 left us with a winter wonderland for 36 hours and it sure was beautiful!

I am sure I wasn’t the only one thrown off guard with the ‘dusting’ of snow we got last weekend. Didn’t even know it was going to snow until late afternoon on Friday when they issued a Winter snow advisory. Luckily for me, I had plenty of milk and bread 🙂

The only thing the weather people got right was when it started and when it came to an end. The ‘dusting’ turned into about 4 inches and it stuck around longer then they thought it would. Most importantly though, is the kids dream of having a snow day came true. Too bad for them it was on the weekend! I realize that some of my pals to the north have not even gotten snow this winter, so I took some photos so that they can live vicariously through our snow surprise of 2020. I think the last time it snowed with any significant accumulation  ( more then an 1 inch) in my area, was two years ago so we get a little excited about this kind of thing.

Well….. it sure was pretty and fun while it lasted. Not getting my hopes up, but they mentioned ‘snow’ in the forecast for this weekend as well. Hope it’s more then a dusting! You can see more snow events in Georgia here and when we really got a lot of snow here.
