Hello Fall Front Porch

Hello Fall Front Porch and welcome! Get some ideas to add Fall to your porch or patio using what you have.

I was sitting on the front porch this weekend and realized that I was craving some good ole autumn color. I was just gonna call it a day with some blue’s and beige like I showed you here, but apparently, the porch wanted more this year….partially due to the year it’s we have all had 🙂

Simple color changes for Fall

It doesn’t take much to bring some Fall color on to the porch even without pumpkins that we have not yet picked up.  Speaking of which, you’ll want to read my Pumpkin Pickin 101 tips here before you pick up pumpkins this season.  I have had these stripped pillows for years and they made their debut in 2014 here . Because my animals enjoy the front porch as much as we do I try to make everything pet and family-friendly. So that the critters don’t get too comfy out here I do bring in any throws with us and turn the cushions up. I know, I know…. but have you seen how dirty my dogs and donkey can get!:)

Plant your mums for next season

I hung some wreaths that I have had for a couple of years that I picked up at HomeGoods. Notice the theme here? Just use what you have! The front doors will get some pumpkins in a week or two and I will place them on the stairs. I am also gonna add some mums to the planters for additional color. Speaking of which, I wanted to show you how well the mums that I planted a year or two ago are starting to bloom for the season. Every year I would just get rid of them after Fall and one year decided to plant them in the ground. I am glad I did. You can click here for more of my mum tips.

I am probably asking for it by putting this vase out here. I can see a kitty or two playing around and it toppling over. Until then ( and hopefully, that won’t happen) I like the height of it with some dried floral whatever they are to bring in more of the orangey color.

Can’t forget Halloween

To make my little people in the house happy I threw up some Halloween in the side entrance. My pal made the fun wreath and I have had the ghost for quite a few years. It’s a treat to drag him out every year. The plan is to hang him up but for now, he is just a chillin’ on the bench.

  1. Great looking porch! I can see hours of rocking and enjoying the scenery. I would love to know where you got your orange strip pillows.

  2. You did it!!! You have inspired me to add more autumn charm to my porch. I placed mums in the pots on each side of the front door and a fall wreath on the door. But now I want fall pillows in the rockers and some more flowers of some type. Thank you for sharing your beautiful and welcoming porch.
