Fall around Duke Manor Farm

Fall around Duke Manor Farm in pictures with the beautiful change of colors happening each day around us.

Something I love to do with the change of seasons is walk around the property and just take it all in.  We bought our property 20 years ago in the dead of winter and were pleasantly surprised when Fall showed up the following year to see the beauty that surrounds us. You can catch up on the history of Duke Manor Farm here.

Don’t get me wrong Spring is just as spectacular, but Fall just gets me every single year. Although we may not be in the peak of color quite yet around here ( maybe next week?), I was afraid that with the upcoming storm (tropical depression from the hurricane) this week all the leaves would fall off the trees. So I took a walk the other day and captured a few of my favorite sights and wanted to share with you all.

I finally got some pumpkins the other day for the porch and for the kids to carve. Sadly our local pumpkin patch where I have gotten pumpkins for the last 20 years is not operating this year. So I settled for traditional orange. I loved the mix I did last year here. If you are lucky to have a pumpkin patch open in your area, read this post on Pumpkin picking 101.

This is our small backyard pond. It is quite a tranquil and peaceful spot especially when the water is trickling from the pond bowls. I love that sound. I share this spot often on my insta stories, like this precious moment here.

We do not cover our pool in the offseason. My pool boy aka hubby maintains the pool year round. 🙂 When everything looks bare in the winter it’s nice to see the pretty blue water in the backyard.
