Color Options for your Christmas Tree

Get inspired to decorate your Christmas Tree this year with different styles and colors for every room in the house.

I always love mixing up different looks on the tree from year to year. Although I tend to lean more on traditional colors, surprisingly there is no red in the house this year..like at all. I got started on the decorating this weekend and put two trees up, one on the screen porch and in the den. We have a tradition to head to the tree lot at Thanksgiving to pick out our main tree, so that will get decorated later.

Pops of Color

This is the tree in the Den. I’m repeating a look that I did last year on our main tree. Since I am going a bit more subdued with the other trees this year, I had to load this one up with colored ornaments that I have collected over the years. Isn’t it fun?

Incorporating fall colors

I took a queue from the beautiful fall foliage this year and incorporated rust, green, and black on the tree in the screen porch. The vibe is exactly what I wanted for this space and I can leave the fall pillows up through the Christmas season.

If you follow me here, you saw that I am going for an outdoorsy feel in the family room. I will be using terra cotta, navy, and cream colors. I can’t wait to decorate that tree and share it with you. The Holiday Home tour that I have been participating in for many years begins Nov 29th. My tour will be on December 1st.  You can see more of my tours here.

I’ve collected 10 looks that I have used to help inspire you to decorate your tree this season.

Let the holiday decorating season begin!

Grateful

for a family that embraces my love to decorate during the holiday season
