Weekend Hangout at Duke Manor Farm | Fall Projects, Style Showcase & Updates

Weekend Hangout at Duke Manor Farm

Welcome to this weeks Weekend Hangout at Duke Manor Farm. Every weekend I love to pause, look back, and share what’s been happening both online and behind the scenes at Duke Manor Farm. This week brought fall inspiration on the blog, a big DMF project in South Georgia, and some much-needed updates at home.

What Was on the Blog This Week

Here’s a quick roundup of what you may have missed:

  • Style Showcase – This week’s Style Showcase was full of fall decorating ideas, home tours, and simple DIYs to spark inspiration.
  • Well Styled Wednesday – In this week’s email, I shared an easy decorating tip you can try right away to cozy up your home.
  • Best of Fall Email – I gathered together the very best seasonal projects, crafts, and decorating ideas from Duke Manor Farm over the years.

Big DMF Project in Georgia

Our DMF team has been hard at work on a project for a client in South Georgia. We are building a lean-to off the clients existing barn. These larger jobs are always exciting because the transformations are so rewarding to see from start to finish.

I’ll be sharing more details soon, but trust me—this one is worth the wait!

Around Duke Manor Farm

In between client projects, I’ve been rolling up my sleeves at home, too. This week’s focus has been:

  • Painting the exterior trim – We are doing this in chunks so it may take a few months. A refresh that will instantly give our home a cleaner, brighter look.
  • Tackling the interior baseboards – They’ve been patiently waiting their turn, and it feels good to start this project.

Both projects are reminders that small updates can make a big difference. Read all of my best painting tips here.

Family Life

Cross Country regular season is about to wrap up. Luckily for my girl the 5:15am practices will end.

Bass fishing season is about to start up and my angler and captain can’t wait!

Kids are on Fall break this week. We have a few college tours planned in S.Carolina and N.Carolina (although I think Lily will stay in Georgia).

Looking Ahead

Fall is such a beautiful season to create, decorate, and make your home feel cozy. I’ll be sharing more projects, DIY tips, and decorating ideas in the coming weeks—just in time for the holidays to sneak up on us.
