Weekend Hangout….Where did January go?

Welcome to another edition of my Weekend Hangout. I am so glad you stopped by. Is it just me when I say, where the heck did January go? I mean seriously the month just flew by. I am not sure if the lightening pace of the months have to do with age or if everyone is feeling it. It also doesn’t help that my oldest will be turning 18 in a few days.

Weekend Hangout

Taking care of business around the house

This year I have decided to go room by room and take care of unfinished business and touch ups in each space. Just this week, after years of sporting none, I put outlet covers on in my bedroom. In my defense ( because this is rather shameful), when you have outlets that are double, triple, combo etc the standard ones at the store don’t work. I finally got a list of all that I needed and ordered these. At the price and quality of the one’s I found, I may just eventually change them all out throughout the house so they are all consistent in style and color.

Speaking of my bedroom, a few weeks ago I changed out the slipcover on the loveseat. Although I love the previous cover I got last year, it was reading a bit too gold for me. I love this neutral one so much better. I also got a replacement cover for the chair as well. It looks like I got a brand new love seat for $200.00.

New barstools in the Kitchen

Something else that got the boot were our counter stools in the kitchen. We have had them for several years. A few years back I gave them a makeover hoping to squeeze a bit more time out of them. Time passed and gringe worthy set in, until…….

I was scrolling on the gram minding my own business and next thing you know, these beautiful gold stools were in my cart. I love when that happens, don’t you? I will share more of these barstools in a later post but until then, you can not beat the quality and price if you are looking for barstools.

We have triplets

Last week another mama goat gave birth to the cutest ever triplets. As you recall a few weeks ago we had another kid (that’s what you call a baby goat) join the family. If you are wondering, all of these births are intentional as Lily intends to sell off some of the herd come Spring.

Other Weekend Hangout randomness

  • I was under the weather this week and had an excuse to watch a few great shows on Netflix: American Nighmare and Greatest Night in Pop. Both are excellent. I am currently watching ‘Safe’. Have you see any of these?
  • I feel like I finally reached adult status and got a membership to Sam’s Club. Even better, hubby and I had a date night last Friday and spent all kinds of money mainly on 200 rolls of toilet paper and copious amounts of cliff bars. I know right, how freakin romantic!
  • I have searched for a while for the perfect highlighter. One that is natural looking and doesn’t make my face look like a neon sign. I found this highlighter and it’s pretty darn good. You can wear it alone or with foundation. The perfect dewy glow with just the right amount of shine.

One more bit of cuteness for your weekend!
