How to make a Fall Burlap Wreath

DIY Fall Burlap Wreath in 4 easy steps would look amazing on your doors this fall season. Simple to make and you can embellish with all your fall favorites.

The first thing that I think of when a new season rolls around is hanging a seasonal wreath. I have gotten a lot of mileage and seasons out of the burlap wreath that I first introduced here.

The truth is, this wreath is so perfect for any season. Using the burlap as your base, each season you can just change out the floral picks and embellishments and your doors are ready to usher in a new season.

Step 2- cut off about 28 inches and spray paint the wire ribbon orange. Once it is dry fold the ribbon in the middle, creating a V. Place your longer floral picks in opposite directions like this. Your picks should stay secure by inserting the ends into the holes of the wire ribbon.

  1. My email is kcarespodi@gmail.com….but you know where to find me! I love fall because I get to haul out the sweaters…some of which I've been wearing since 1990, when I was a lot thinner. I can't wear them anymore, but I like to pretend. I also like pumpkins. And as a musical theatre minor, I love Halloween. And scary movies. And I love your wreath! Every time I see burlap, I think of you. I am not even joking.

  2. I love everything about fall! Maybe I love the crisp air best…or the sound of the rustling leaves…or is it the smell of burning leaves..I love it all! Making one of your burlap wreaths has been on my list for a long time. Maybe I'll win one instead. dannibaird@aol.com

  3. I love everything about fall, the colors, the smells (pumpkin spice) and living in South Florida I have to create all those things. Down here we have very little color change and the weather stays warm(actually hot) so I create fall by decorating my house and yard with all the wonderful accents of fall, (hay, pumpkins, scarecrows, and fall garlands). Your beautiful burlap wreath would fit right into my version of fall!! Thank you for this opportunity to win my email address is paintingdon@icloud.com

  4. I love Fall….maybe because of the wonderful burst of color that occurs all around me…or is it the calm I feel in the crispness of the air . . . slowing down, as nature is slowing down before it rests for winter…not to mention, pumpkin patches, craft fairs, and pumpkin pie!…You make the most gorgeous burlap wreaths…or any wreath for that matter!!!

  5. The changing colors of the leaves, the goldenrod (ACHOO!), the clear skies, the cooler temps…what's not to like about Fall?! Football games, tailgate parties, the excitement in the air..again, what's not to like? I could go on and on about what I LOVE about Fall. It's my favorite time of the year (except for Christmas)and it brings back so many memories. Oh, and burlap is my favorite…hint, hint.

  6. Fall is my favorite time of the year. The air is fresh and clean, I can sit out on my patio in the quiet hours of early morning with my coffee and listen to the leaves rustling in the breeze and I'm wrapped up in a blanket. I can watch the deer and the rabbits and the wild turkeys and the sounds of nature like no other time of the year. With the cooler temperature's comes the appetite, everyone feels like eating the comfort foods and I love cooking more this time of year, and of course the decorating. I would love to win this wreath, mine is so tired looking I haven't even hung it on my door this year, I think it is beyond help. Your wreath is just gorgeous, I love burlap, I think that is what drew me into your blog the first time and I have enjoyed it ever since. Thank you for sharing all your beautiful decorating and your beautiful home and your gorgeous children, I get so tickled when I look at your photo's of them in their everyday play and I often wish every child could have a life like theirs. Oops I have drifted off the subject, which is I really need that burlap wreath.

  11. There areso many reasons why I love fall! First, the colors. The smells. Cold apple cider. Hot cocoa. Pumpkins. Bonfires. Crunchy leaves. Family. Walks inthewoods.

  12. Magic happens as trees dress up in their colorful shades. Nature turns into a playground of fairytale with clouds hanging low, racing fast by above the colorful crown of trees. It makes you free, happy, run wild to dance around in the fallen leaves…fall makes me feel like the kid inside is sill alive.

  14. I am fortunate enough to live in New England where the season of Fall is delightful. I love the abundance of color in fruits and vegetables and of course the trees. The smells of the season surround you even on a cloudy day. There are local fairs every weekend where you can enjoy food, beverage and crafts created by young and not so young for everyone to enjoy. I find this season to be inspirational, allowing me to try a dish or project I've never done before. I also make a list of things to do during the long days of winter when I can't get out. I love doing simple crafts when I am shut in to share with the neighbors of my disability complex. Fall is truly a season for all to enjoy.
