Weekly Wow’s – Stunning home, Pergola, Bar Cart

The other day I walked into my kitchen to see a ‘miner’ cleaning his rocks in the sink, a ‘waiter’ in a tux saying he is going to serve me breakfast and a sassy ‘cheetah’ who was purring cause she was ready to eat.
Take a look at my real life funny farm.

If you follow me on Instagram here, you probably saw my comment about hoping that my hubby would walk in as a housekeeper. Sadly, that didn’t happen. But it’s all good, and the house is still a mess.

My pal Debbie turned this bookcase into an amazing bar here

We put our pergola project on hold a bit. We are still working through the design and how we want it to work with our long term plan in the backyard. Until then though I am living vicariously under this one and this one.

I have loved following Layla’s story on their process of adoption and anxiously waiting for the homecoming.

This turned out pretty amazing.

My approaching 50 self, really didn’t give a crap about prancing around in my bathing suit last week at the beach. Funny how it’s taking me this long to get to this point of body acceptance. An article everyone should read regardless of your age, or shape. However, I would not attempt a star jump on the beach in my bathing suit. My confidence only goes so far.

This house has me at Hello every time I visit.

We are hosting a few friends Saturday afternoon, for a barbecue followed by the traditional firework show hosted by my hubby. Our low boil menu changed to pulled pork instead. My husband realized he was the biggest and only fan of hot sausage and spicy shrimp in our household.
We travel up the road annually to South.Carolina to get the fireworks at our favorite spot right over the border. Hopefully our weather will cooperate Saturday evening for the show. I was hearing that some states have ban’s on the firework shows because of the weather…lack of rain. Fortunately our state is not one of them.

What are your plans for the 4th?
Have a fun and safe holiday weekend!

  5. That picture of your kids in the kitchen is too funny! I hope you're having a great 4th of July weekend. It's been quiet here since my husband had to work yesterday. My youngest son enjoyed setting off fireworks with some neighborhood kids last night. Hey! You look pretty physically fit in that jump picture, if you ask me!
