Tic Toc Make a Statement with your Clocks

One thing you should know about me is that I have a love for clocks in my home. Two reasons- I don’t like to be late and because I like the way they look incorporated into my decor. If you look around my house you will see that in just about every room.
I always try to be on time and punctual mainly so hubby won’t be waiting in the car, honking the horn . “Come on, let’s go”! Have you heard that too?
At times I am even early for decorating trends, like this one you see gracing the pages of a current PB catalog
See, I was already here in 2004 in my Sunroom when I started my collection of clocks, so that I could fill this generous space up
and still am today in my Living Room

Advantages to using clocks in your decor besides the obvious of knowing the time, is that they can work alone as a statement piece or as a grouping on your wall.

Disadvantage in using clocks in your decor is when the time changes and they all have to be set, or you can simply forget about it and be off an hour for 6 months.
So tell me, do clocks make a statement in your home decor or is your hubby honking the horn waiting for you?

  1. I really like the look, but how do you keep them all in sync? It would drive me insane if they all weren't exactly the same.

  2. I am SO with you on being punctual! It became a problem for my hubby and I when it turned out he does not need to be punctual and is usually thirty to forty minutes late ALL THE TIME! SO, to help this matter I bought a very very big clock and hung it up in our main living area. It has actually helped. That and a whip. :0)

  3. Ha ha — We've got clocks galore around here (including the digital variety) but the hubs still has to honk the horn occasionally.
    Love your clock collection! Pinning!

  4. I love the whimsy of a wall of clocks! Your's have so much character!

What a great decor tip to share at my new linky party, TUTORIALS TIPS AND TIDBITS going on now! So creative! I hope you join in!

  5. Love your clock wall, Laura! I have a thing for clocks, too. I have one in every room ~ including those rooms that are open to each other! Plus, I'm always looking at the ones in the store. This is a great way to still buy the clocks that catch your eye {even if you already have one in every room}. Too bad I don't have more wall space!

  6. Laura…love your clocks…they do make such a great statement when they are beautifully grouped together as you have done…..I try not to run late…but many times my hubby is waiting in the car for me…so I guess I need more clocks!!

  7. I love vintage clocks and we have a wall one which is a heirloom as it belonged to my Fil's family. I love all yours, such a great wall statement with them! Hugs,

  8. You have some beautiful clocks. What a collection. I don't think I have ever seen that many gathered except in a clock shop. I struggle with punctuality too and I TRY to be on time. I think I have gotten better with age (and my husband does honk the horn).

  9. My hubs is always honking! I used to have a clock collection but gave them away (not enough wall space)!

They do make a statement (maybe you could set them for different memorable times in your life and take the batteries out – like time kids were born … so you won't have to keep resetting them)!

  10. Ha, they don't quite make a statement as yours do, but I do try (real hard) to keep a clock in every room, because I loose track of time all the time! I love your wall, and it looks even better than the PB version.
