The One Thing We Have In Common…and a giveaway

One might expect, that in a family of five you would have a few differences and not share similar tastes on some things in the household. And mine is no exception. But there is the one thing we have in common. 

And although we do share a love for family and each other, there are quite a few differences that we share as well. 
Differences like…
I love white; my husband loves color.  I love cooler temperatures; my kids are fans of warmer temperatures. I love to clean; my family does not… but they need to.  I love check prints; my husband loves solid prints.
 
 I love any kind of chocolate candy; the family loves any hard candy. The family loves popcorn; I don’t like the taste. I would rather watch something on HGTV; the kids would rather watch SpongeBob; and hubby, would rather watch the news.

   What’s relaxing to me is not so relaxing to my son. Lily loves the color pink; the boys love the color blue. I love sweet potato pie; everybody else in the family loves a cherry one. I like painted wood; my husband likes bare wood.

 
  
The family likes crunchy snacks; I prefer marshmallows. Half the family are early risers; the other half… not before noon. I like early morning; my husband likes late nights. Lily loves to drink chocolate milk; the boys drink white milk. I like ice cream; my husband likes sherbet.
 
 
 The family likes pay per view at home; I prefer the movie theater. 
They like suspense movies; I like romance. Lily loves songs from the movie Frozen; the boys don’t want to hear it AT ALL. My husband likes to grocery shop (he’s a keeper); I prefer to clothes shop.  Girls want to be in the craft room; boys want to be in the shop.
 
 

 There is one thing the family does agree on…. Goldfish® crackers. And although each of us has a preferred favorite as illustrated by the hands above, we all love our Goldfish cracker snacks. The variety of flavors comes in handy for a family with unique and distinct tastes. For the record, in case you’re wondering……..I like the vanilla cupcake flavor and my husband likes the pretzel flavor.

To make it easy for the family when they want to grab their favorite Goldfish, I place the different flavors in some glass canisters with lids and place them on the counter. This also helps to keep them fresher longer, although we really never have to wait that long for them to be eaten.

  2. While I prefer the pretzel flavor and my daughter prefers the rainbow-colored cheesy flavor, I have yet to meet a "Goldfish" I didn't love!!! Great post!

  4. My favorite is the tried and true original cheese flavor. I have been known to mix the cheese and pretzel together. I'm sure there are many others I would like if I tried them,
    but my favorites always seem to call my name.

  8. I just love the baby ones that I recently found…so cute. I wish I had toddlers, they'd be so cute floating on top of their soup (or should I say swimming!).

  12. The Graham is the best, with Pretzel flavor 2nd and all others 3rd! We love to place the cheese and pretzel flavors in a single layer on a lunch size plate and grate Romano or Parmesan cheese on top and microwave until the cheese melts.

    Also love real sharp cheddar cheese with apples, nuts, and veggies with hummus another good snack..oops and my very fave home made restaurant style salsa with home made pita chips.
