While this Mothers Day may feel a bit different, it’s still a wonderful time to celebrate mom or the special women in your life. Make the day all about Mom…from thoughtful homemade gifts, home cooked breakfast, or setting a pretty table I am sharing a few ideas to celebrate the day….and mom.
Try these breakfast ideas
Mothers Day around here will definitely include a big breakfast or brunch, and I’m not cooking or cleaning! These are two of my favorite breakfast ideas that I love.and so does the family. Stuffed french toast would satisfy any mom and she may want seconds. This stuffed idea is also a favorite.
Set a pretty table
Set a pretty table using what you have…mom will not care. Remember it’s the people around the table that matter. For this table I used paper napkins, left over fabric, drift wood and magnolia stems from the yard. Shop your home, look around the yard and see what you can put together.
Flowers in a DIY container
With so many blooms out there ( from the yard or grocery) it’s a perfect time to create a homemade personalized vessel to put them in. This container was a repurposed holiday cutlery container that I sprayed painted and attached ‘mom’ in blue vinyl letters. Tada…a gift mom is sure to love.
Make her a cake
Come on now, who doesn’t like cake, especially one with fresh blueberries and homemade vanilla frosting. If breakfast or brunch is not your thing, then cake it is. Get the recipe here.
