Weekend Hangout at Duke Manor Farm vol 39

Welcome to another Weekend Hangout at Duke Manor Farm. Another week has come and gone here at Duke Manor Farm, and with it came some new projects, college convos/tours, and a hint of Fall with temps in the 60’s. If you missed anything, here’s a roundup of what I shared this week—perfect for catching up over the long weekend.

Weekend Hangout at Duke Manor Farm

Around the Farm

Cooler mornings have rolled in, and I am here for it…so are all the animals. The lake has been sparkling in the evenings, reminding me to pause and soak it in.

My blueberry bushes are still going strong. I think the best thing I could have done this season is using these covers to keep the deer and birds from munching away. We are huge blueberry fans in the house and hope we get a few more picks in September.

I am making my favorite blueberry cobbler recipe this afternoon and will use some of the blueberries. It is so yummy and super easy to make.

Randomness

  • I’m binge deep in Grays Anatomy. Love it! Getting ready to start Hurricane Katrina. Can’t believe it’s been 20 years, can you?
  • I’m already eyeing fall porch swaps—think mums and ornamental cabbages. I am thinking I am doing something similar to what I did a few years ago here. A simple look and mix of real, faux and rattan. pumpkins.
  • Sadly I did not win the Mega Millions on Saturday night. I typically do not play the lottery but decided to use the last $10 bucks in my wallet to get 5 picks. I maybe got 3 total numbers from all 5 picks. I always have fun dreaming of what I would do with all that money. Did you play?

What I’m Loving

  • Cozy oversized knit throw—perfect for porch lounging.
  • My favorite chandelier in the house is on major clearance. Run!
  • I am eying this pillow in blue.
  • I just ordered this lamp for my office.

Quote of the Week

“Your home should be a reflection of the season you’re in—warm, cozy, and welcoming.”

Thanks for hanging out with me this weekend. Tell me—what’s been your favorite part of the week?
