Monday Musings

Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Monday Musings.  I am still waiting on the ottoman and accent chair for my family room after 10 long weeks. You would have thought I ordered something totally outrageous to construct and make….nope just a chair and and ottoman. The print is the smaller of the pillows on the couch. Got a couple extra yards of the fabric and made my own pillows. Fingers crossed, it should be here this week. The family is enjoying the new couch though ….but not so thrilled with the ‘no food or drink on couch’ rule.

If you are looking for an amazing photo printer (for just prints) I would highly recommend the Canon Selphy. It’s small, has WiFi and is portable. I find the color quality on the Selphy printer, far exceeds most other printers that I have had. I love to send my thank you notes on postcards with a cute picture on the front.

Curtains came down, walls getting painted in the living room (more on this later). I am selling the furniture in the room. After 15 years, it’s really not my style or the style of this house. Looking for something less formal for this space, but in no hurry.

I am thinking from the looks of it, she could  really get use to this. You think? After the pampering, we went to see Paddington. Super cute movie for a 6 year old….and her mom.

Monday Musings

When’s the last time you got pampered?
Have an amazing week! And don’t forget to do some pampering for yourself!

  1. Is your sofa leather? Looks nice.I took my granddaughter to see Paddington on Saturday. She's 4.she did not like it at all. Not enough music and dancing and animation. I think she laughed once . We left early. Didn't see the end. Kinda boring. Oh well. Hopefully something will come out that she loves.

  2. Love, love, love the pamper pic! Think I'll try this soon with my 5 yr old granddaughter who loves girlie things already. And by the way, I've been a follower for quite a while and just want to say I love your posts!

  3. You are busy, busy, busy making big changes around your house! Off and running in 2015! Love those fabric choices and can't wait to how it all comes together. We, too, struggle with the no food on the new couch rule. I make my daughter sit on a blanket first! 🙂

    Have a wonderful week!

  4. That is a beautiful couch and I love the blue pillows. The chair and ottoman are going to be so pretty as well. I know that feeling of waiting. I waited 12 weeks for our bedroom furniture when we were first married. I jumped up every time I hear a big truck come down our street! 🙂

  5. I'm looking to buy a new sofa and chair soon. I wish I had your talent for design. I love your pillows. I wish I could sew. My mama tried to teach me and we were too much alike:) I always look forward to seeing what you will do.

  6. Awwww……..your daughter is so cute getting her nails done! I am sure she will love that movie too. I think I will be missing that one since my youngest is now 13 and has no desire for teddy bears anymore. LOL! I know you can't wait to receive your new chair and ottoman. That is a long wait! I hate waiting for stuff too.

  7. I just found your blog via Instagram today. LOVE it! Your house is gorgeous. Do you mind sharing the name of the small print fabric on the pillows? (I think it's the one you had the chair and ottoman made in?) I have been looking for the perfect fabric to make a pillow for my sister and I think your fabric might be it! Thank you, Kim.
